Clean Energy Communities

The Southern Tier Clean Energy Communities team is helping local governments create healthy and sustainable communities by investing in future-focused clean energy solutions. Launched in August 2016, NYSERDA’s Clean Energy Communities program assists local governments to implement clean energy actions, save energy costs, create jobs, and improve the environment. Local governments that complete the Clean Energy Communities' High Impact Actions will be able to access grant funding to help further their clean energy initiatives. Through the Clean Energy Communities program, Southern Tier municipalities can receive free technical assistance and clean energy advisement to identify which actions best fit your community.

CCE-Schuyler has a full time Clean Energy Communities Coordinator that serves local governments in Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, and Tioga County.  We also have a lot of resources to help your community complete high impact actions and earn grant money. To learn more about opportunities for your local government, please check out the Southern Tier Clean Energy Communities website or contact your Clean Energy Communities Coordinator for more information.
