Camp Scholarship Information

Scholarship Information

Hidden Valley 4-H Camp believes that ALL campers should be able to attend camp. For those families who need financial assistance, we welcome your application. Here are some FAQ's for those seeking assistance.

  1. Who may apply for scholarships for Hidden Valley 4-H Camp. Our 1st priority is serving Schuyler County Youth. If you are not residents of Schuyler County, we do ask that you check with your local Cornell Cooperative Extension branch first. They may have funds to support camp or can point you in the right direction. Otherwise, please submit scholarship applications to us.
  2. I have more than one child, will each child receive a scholarship? Yes. You must submit a separate application for each child in order for them to be considered.
  3. What is the deadline for applications? April 20, 2024. Our Hidden Valley 4-H Camp Advisory Committee sets the rates and determines scholarship awards, and they will meet in late April 2023. Applications received after the deadline will be determined at the discretion of the Camp Director based on available funds.
  4. Is my application kept confidential? Absolutely.
  5. Where do I send my application? Please send it (no later than April 20, 2024) to the Attention of Dayna Karius to:

Scholarship decisions are made by May 25, 2024

Please Note: Hidden Valley 4-H Camp has limited scholarships to award each year. We review all applications at the end of April as the scholarship application process is open through April 15th. We do not offer any award announcements prior to May 1. We offer full and partial scholarships. We also offer priority to campers who are only able to attend the week they are asking for camp scholarship funds to attend. Camp Scholarships are given as a priority to campers who are unable to attend Camp and we typically do not award scholarships to campers who attend more than one week of camp, although each scholarship application is reviewed individually.
