Forestry & Natural Resources

Nearly two-thirds of the Southern Tier is covered by forests that are amongst the most valuable and productive in the world. But the value of our forests extends well beyond that of the trees! Our diverse woodlands provide countless environmental, social and economic benefits to our communities, including clean water, renewable energy, and a scenic wooded landscape. The SCNY Natural Resources program works with broad audiences to both utilize and protect our precious forest resources.
