4th Annual Schuyler County Farm Tour Weekend

The Schuyler County Farm Tour Weekend Returns for its Fourth Year!

Schuyler County’s finest farms are once more opening their doors to the public, offering tours, tastings, hayrides, demonstrations, apple picking, shopping, and opportunities to meet the farm animals.

These authentic farm experiences are entertaining and informative fun for families, couples, or anyone! The weekend event is organized by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schuyler County in collaboration with the Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce. Guests can purchase all sorts of goodies from the farms, including produce, hand-crafted cheeses, apples, veggies, jams, cider, donuts, pies, and alpaca products.

This year’s event will see the addition of a Friday night reception at Chateau La Fayette Reneau. Participants will be treated with tours of the vineyard, light appetizers, door prizes, and a preview of items for sale during the tour. Reservations are recommended for Friday evening, but not necessary for the rest of the weekend.

Farm Tour Weekend capitalizes on the area’s strong agritourism through the organization and promotion of a destination event. This event offers visitors unique farm experiences while highlighting Schuyler County over the course of one weekend.

Details regarding participating farms will be released in the upcoming weeks. Updates will also be listed on the CCE Schuyler Facebook page.

To learn more about other attractions in the area, as well as places to stay overnight, visit http://www.explorewatkinsglen.com/.Those looking to expand the experience are invited to check out the region’s celebrated wine trail at SenecaLakeWine.com.
