Kids take over the kitchen! This class is a fun cooking experience where youth will learn how to prepare many different foods. Participants will make different kinds of doughs, learn how to measure correctly, and how to cook everything from cookies to pizza.

Apple Strudel
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 egg, beaten
1 cup lukewarm water
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon lard, melted (vegetable shortening or butter may be
used)
1 pinch salt
1 1/2 cups butter, melted
1 cup toasted bread crumbs
1 cup ground walnuts
3 1/2 pounds apples - peeled, cored and thinly sliced
3/4 cup raisins
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 3/4 cups white
sugar
Optional ingredients: sugar
Oatmeal
Cinnamon
